成人の日の前の日、8日の夕礼拝のメッセージをアップしておきます。
マタイによる福音書 第５章３３〜３７節
「真実を語るために」To tell the truth
5:33 さらにまた、昔の人々に、『偽りの誓いを立ててはならない。あなたの誓ったことを主に果たせ。』と言われていたのを、あなたがたは聞いています。
5:34 しかし、わたしはあなたがたに言います。決して誓ってはいけません。すなわち、天をさして誓ってはいけません。そこは神の御座だからです。
5:35 地をさして誓ってもいけません。そこは神の足台だからです。エルサレムをさして誓ってもいけません。そこは偉大な王の都だからです。
5:36 あなたの頭をさして誓ってもいけません。あなたは、一本の髪の毛すら、白くも黒くもできないからです。
5:37 だから、あなたがたは、『はい。』は『はい。』、『いいえ。』は『いいえ。』とだけ言いなさい。それ以上のことは悪いことです。
5:33 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.'
5:34 "But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne;
5:35 "nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
5:36 "Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
5:37 "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
・明日は成人の日です
It is a Coming of age Day tomorrow.
・大人になるということは、自分の言葉に責任をもつ人になるということですね。
To become an adult is to have a responsibility to their words.
・わたしの子どもは、時々、「●●ちゃんと結婚する」と言ったりします。
My child sometimes says, “I am going to marry to someone ”
・これは子どもだからゆるされるのであって、大人のわたしがいったら大変なことになります。
Her chat is accepted because she is young, but if I said so, it causes much trouble.
・大人とは、自分が語ったことに責任をもたなければならないからです。
Adults have to be responsible for their words.
・今日の御言葉でいうなら、37節にありますように、「はい」は「はい」「いいえ」は「いいえ」という人になることです。
We would like to be a person like verse 37, “your ’Yes,’ be ‘Yes, and your ‘No.’, ‘No.’ ,
・口で語ったことを、ちゃんと守る人が大人であります。
Adults are people who can keep their words.
・しかし現実には、他人の言葉に何度も裏切られる経験をしていくのがわたしたちの人生です。
But actually we have some experiences of being betrayed by the others.
・口約束は信用出来ないというのが、わたしたちの常識です。
It is our common sense that verbal promise cannot be trusted.
・だから大事な約束には、契約書というものを書くのです。
Therefore, we exchange contracts on the important promise.
・自分の言葉の真実の証として、契約書を書くのです。
We sign a contract as a proof of the truth of their words.
・イエスさまの時代のユダヤの人々は、紙に書く代わりに、誓いました。
In Jesus days, Jewish people performed an oath instead of writing on the paper.
・どういう誓いをしていたのかというと、「天や地や、エルサレムや、自分の頭」にかけて誓ったとあります。
Their way of performing oath is to swear by heaven, the earth and by their heads.
・彼らは、神様には誓いませんでした。なぜなら、誓ったことが果たせなければ、罪になるからであります。
They did not swear by God. Because if they could not fulfill their oath, they had been thought to have committed a sin.
・だから、天とか地とかにかけて誓ったのであります。
Therefore, they performed oath by heaven and the earth.
・つまり、この誓い方自体、ちっとも誠実ではないのであります。
That is, their way of oath is not sincere.
・自分の言葉が真実でなくても、神さまに裁かれないようにという逃げ道なのであります。
It is a way to escape from God’s judgment even if their words were not true.
・しかし、イエスさまはそういう逃げ道を封じ込まれます。
But Jesus closed such a way to escape.
・天は神の御座、地は神の足台、エルサレムは神の都である。つまり、これらに誓うことは、神に誓っているのと同じ。ゆえに誓ってはならないとイエスさまは言われます。
Jesus told that Heaven is God’s throne, the earth is His footstool, and Jerusalem is the city of God, so do not perform oath.
・無責任な誓いをして、平気でいられるような逃げ道をイエスさまは封じ込めたのです。
Jesus closed the way to run for the people who made an irresponsible oath and still don’t feel sin.
・それは、37節にあるように、「はい」は「はい」「いいえ」は「いいえ」というためでした。
As we can see on verse 37, Jesus wanted us to say Yes be Yes and No, No.
・つまり、誓おうが誓うまいが、いつでも語る言葉は真実であるべきではないかと、イエス様はいわれたのであります。
Jesus said that whether they performed oath to the Lord was not matter but it was important to tell the truth.
・確かに現代もまた、不真実な言葉が飛び交っている時代です。
It is true that unfaithful words are coming and going these days too.
・わたしのEメールには、毎日のようにアダルト系のメールが入ってきます。
I have some E-mails of kind of adult everyday.
・なかには女性の個人名で送られてくるものもあります。
Some of them are from the names of female.
・そして、「このまえはとってもたのしかったです。また会いましょう。メール下さい。」などと書いてあったりするのです。こんなメールを妻が見たら誤解してしまいます。
It says “I had a very good time the other day. See you again, Write soon.”
・去年の暮れは、建築にまつわる詐欺が発覚し、不真実というものが、どれだけ他人を苦しめるのかを、私たちは目の当たりにしました
Last year- end, we had news on construction fraud and their committing a fraud made people unhappy.
・そんな不真実な言葉が行き交えば、ますます私たちは、他人の言葉を信じられなくなるでしょう。
If such an unreliable words come and go, we could not believe other’s words more and more.
・しかし、一方、だれしもが自分の言葉だけは、人に信じてもらいたいと思っているのです。
But on the other hand, everyone wants people to be believed himself.
・他の人の言葉は信じられなくても、この自分の言葉は信じてほしいと思っているのです。
Even if they could not believe other’s words, they wish to be believed their own words.
・だから人に信じてもらうために、神仏にさえ誓うということをしてきたのです。
Therefore, they had performed an oath to Gods and Buddha so that they might be believed.
・しかし私たちは本当にいつも真実なことを語っているのでしょうか？
But are we really telling the truth?
・なんの根拠もないうわさ話や、悪口を語ったことが一度もない人がいるのでしょうか？
Is there anyone who had never spoken ill of others and gossips?
・口で語った約束を一度でも破ったことがない人が、一人でもいるのでしょうか？
Is there anyone who had never broken his promise?
・私たちは、他人の言葉に裏切られたことがあるように、自分の語った言葉で他人を裏切ったこともあるのではないでしょうか？
Haven’t we betrayed others like we had been betrayed by others?
・私たちはみな、全てを知っておられる神の前に、真実な言葉を語っているなどとは言えない、罪人ではないでしょうか？
Aren’t we all sinners of not telling the truth before God almighty?
・しかし唯一、信じられる言葉があります。それは神の言葉、イエスキリストです。
But there is only one thing we can trust. It is the words of God, Jesus Christ.
・イエスさまだけは、ご自分が語られた言葉の通りに生き抜かれました。
It is only Jesus that lived His life as His words.
・そして、その言葉に従って、私たちの罪のために十字架にかかられたのであります。
And according to His words, He was put on the Cross for our sin.
・この真実な神の言葉に出会うとき、私たちは変えられていきます。
We are changed when we meet His true words of God.
・イエスさまのように、真実な言葉を語り、生きるものとなってきます。
Our life is changed to be more like Jesus and we share His truth to the people.

・そして、自分の不真実な言葉の責任をすすんで受ける、大人となっていくで
しょう。
And we become responsible for our unfaithful words and grow to be an adult.
・ 聖霊に満たされるとき、そのような生き方が生まれます。
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our way of life are changed.
・そして互いに信じ合える関係が、神の国の喜びが広がるのです。
And our relationship of relying one another brings us joy of God’s kingdom.
・聖霊に導かれて、そのような大人として歩んでいきたいと願うのであります。
We would like to be an adult walking together with the Holy Spirit.
・お祈り致しましょう。
Shall we pray?
・主なる神さま
Lord, our God,
・イエスさまは、人々に「はい」は「はい」、「いいえ」は「いいえ」と語るようにと教えられました。
Jesus told us to say Yes be Yes and No, No.
・わたしたちが不真実な言葉を語っていることを、主は知っておられるからです。
Because You know that we are telling the unfaithful words.
・しかしそんな私たちを神さま見捨てず、代わりに、ご自分の御子を十字架の上で見捨てられたのでありました。
But You did not forsake us and instead You forsook Your only begotten Son on the cross.
・そうまでして、わたしたちに真実に生きてほしいと願われる神さまの深い愛を思います。
We are thankful for your deep love on us to be able to live a faithful life.
・どうぞわたしたちを聖霊に満たし、日々、真実を語るものとして下さい。
Please fill us with the Holy Spirit and let us share your truth in our daily life.
・それによって、お互いに信じあい、愛し合っていく喜びが広げられていきますように
Lead us to believe one another, love one another and share the joy of your love.
・この祈りを、愛するイエスキリストのお名前を通して、みまえにおささげ致します。
We pray in the name of Jesus,
